Spiritual Care

Every person has a spiritual dimension: special beliefs and values about how the world is ordered, the meaning of living and a connection with the universe. This often takes the form of a faith that makes sense of this world for that person. These values play an important part in our residents' and family's response to a palliative illness.

Spiritual care at St. Joseph's Hospice is unique and tailored to each individual's journey. We respect the values and beliefs, choices, experiences and diversity of everyone who receives hospice care.

The Westminster Foundation generously supported our Spiritual Care Program with a partial grant.

In the brief video below, several faith and cultural leaders in the community and family members who have experienced hospice care - talk about their experiences with spirituality at the end of life.
