Volunteer Drivers

St. Joseph's Hospice is currently looking for volunteer drivers. Volunteer drivers take our palliative and bereaved clients to and from appointments at our Wellness Centre at Hospice. They also take our palliative clients to medical appointments in the community. Proof of vehicle insurance is required.

What is a hospice?

Hospices are community based organizations and facilities run by both professional health care providers and trained volunteers to provide individuals and their families with a place of comfort and support while facing the end-of-life journey. Many hospices, including St. Joseph's Hospice, offer a two pronged approach to care; community-based programs and services and residential care.

About St. Joseph's Hospice

St. Joseph’s Hospice is a faith-based organization that provides quality of life at the end of life, offering compassionate holistic care and support to people living with a terminal illness. Support is extended to their family members and caregivers, and to those grieving the loss of a loved one. Hospice programs and services are offered at no cost and are available irrespective of age, gender, religion, race, ethnicity or economic status.

Monthly Program Calendars

Clients and caregivers come to St. Joseph's Hospice to share experiences, support one another, and engage in a variety of complementary therapies, peer support groups or other programming that promotes their well-being. All programs are offered in our Hospice Home or in partnership with other community agencies.
