Our residential hospice opens in January 2014
... but we still need your help!
As end of life approaches, not everyone is able to remain at home. Many of the people who can't remain at home don't need hospital-level services -- they just need a little extra help. Some don't want their family members to have to take on the role of caregiver even though they wish their last days with them could be spent in a home-like setting.
For nearly 30 years, St. Joseph's Hospice has served the community through various services for terminally ill individuals, their family members and caregivers and provided support programs for those grieving the loss of a loved one. In response to the need, St. Joseph's Hospice will move its current program and services and open a residential hospice in two wings of the Sisters of St. Joseph's Congregational Centre on Windermere Road. St. Joseph’s Hospice will operate autonomously. We are proud to provide our new residential services in this home-like hospice for all citizens of London and Middlesex County.
The need for this care is urgent and great. You only need to read Karen's Story to understand the difference this residential hospice will make in the lives of so many.
