National Nursing Week
St. Joseph's Hospice is celebrating National Nursing Week from May 7-13.

As the nation celebrates National Nursing Week, we at St. Joseph’s Hospice reflect on how fortunate we are to have such an amazing team of health care providers supporting our clients, residents and their families within our residence and in the community. We appreciate the compassion, dedication, and diversity of experiences that each individual brings to their role each and every day, as they journey alongside the hundreds of families we support."

-Julie Johnston, Executive Director at St. Joseph's Hospice

May 7-13 is National Nursing Week, alongside International Nurses Day and the birthday of Florence Nightingale--the founder of modern nursing--on May 12.

The Canadian Nurses Association theme, #YESThisIsNursing, emphasizes the real impact nurses, personal support workers, and all support care staff have in our lives — at every age, in all health situations.

Thank you to all of our nurses, personal support workers and care staff for their dedication and commitment to hospice palliative care.
