Our residential care program offers 24-hour care provided by specially trained staff and volunteers for eligible persons at the end of life. Our hospice home is designed to embrace the beauty of the natural environment and represents the compassionate community that surrounds it. It is a 'home away from home' where those nearing the end of life can receive the individualized care and support they need during this time. It's also an inviting space where families can visit freely without the worry of day-to-day care. Each of our 10 suites includes a private bedroom, sitting room, fridge, two televisions, an accessible washroom and a private balcony.

End-of-life care is provided by a dedicated and compassionate team of registered nurses, registered practical nurses, personal support workers, spiritual care providers, physicians and volunteers. There is no cost to the individual and/or family to stay in the residence or to access any of the supportive services.

The South West Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) administers the Residential Hospice referral process, determining eligibility. Admission is based on the CCAC’s determination of eligibility and the ability of St. Joseph's Hospice to accommodate and support the care needs of individuals at the time of referral.
