Camp Caring for Kids

August 22 - 24, 2017

As a support to families during their grief journey, St. Joseph’s Hospice offers Camp Caring for Kids, a three-day retreat provided at no cost for children who have experienced the loss of a loved one within the past two years. Supported by the generosity of the community, Camp Caring for Kids offers a safe space for children aged 6-13 to connect with one another, receive support from trained Hospice volunteers and most importantly, have fun! 

When: Tuesday, August 22 to Thursday, August 24 - 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

Child care will be offered from 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

What: Everyday will be filled with fun activities such as drumming, yoga, swimming and much more! Not to mention, plenty of healthy snacks and time to get to know one another.

Application Deadline 
August 15, 2017

Registration for Camp Caring for Kids is limited to a maximum of 15 campers. We encourage you to complete the online application before the deadline.

Once your application has been submitted, you will be contacted within one week by regarding next steps which include an intake telephone conversation and an intake interview at St. Joseph’s Hospice. After the intake process is complete you will be notified if your application for Camp has been accepted. If accepted, Parents/Guardians will be invited to attend a camp information session.
