Live a Life That Lasts
What Will Be Your Gift When You’re Gone?
What if you died tomorrow?
What will be the legacy you leave behind?
What will be the impact of everything you can’t take with you?
Did You Know?
Even a gift in your Will of 1% of your estate can make a difference.
“Legacy Giving” – sometimes generally referred to as ‘planned giving’ – is a donation made by YOU through a Will or other formal designation. Legacy gifts are typically prepared with your financial planner and reflect your values and desires. Gifts can be monetary, estate-based (real estate or property) or even dividends from stocks, annuities, RRSP’s or many other sources. Your estate will receive a charitable tax receipt that can lower or even eliminate estate taxes.
What matters is that your wishes are in place, and that your wishes are documented.
Remembering Hospice in your Will is an act that is generous, powerful, and surprisingly simple.
It allows you to leave a larger gift than would be possible during your lifetime.
Leaving a gift to Hospice in your will is simple. Talk it over with your family and loved ones, then speak to your lawyer about drafting or revisiting your Will. Be sure to inform us of your bequest and your wishes. It will give us the opportunity to thank you and, more importantly, to discuss what you hope your gift will help to accomplish.
