Ready to volunteer?
St. Joseph’s Hospice has relied on volunteers for more than three decades to fulfill its mission of offering compassionate care and support to individuals facing palliative illness and their families during bereavement.
Please complete this form, and one of our volunteer coordinators will contact you to start your application.
To become a volunteer, you will be asked to provide 2-3 references, proof of vaccination, and a police record. Complete the orientation package and review the Hospice Policies and Procedures and the HPCO (Hospice Palliative Care Ontario) Volunteer Training).
Depending on your role, additional requirements will be needed.
We are seeking compassionate individuals with a desire to work in palliative care. If you're interested, don't hesitate to contact Mike Balderston, Volunteer Coordinator, at 519–931–3468 or email michael.balderston@sjhospicelondon.com. Volunteers working directly with our in-house residents or community clients must complete the HPCO (Hospice Palliative Care Ontario) Training and our in-house Body Mechanics workshop.
